This is our second time at this lodge and it has been totally refurbished to a very high standard,It’s on a large holiday park But it’s position on the park makes it feel a lot more private than you expect. It’s ideally situated as a base to explore the Lake District or just chill on the patio and watch the birds around the lodge. The lodge itself has every thing you need ,you could easily live there. The furnishings are of a high Standard and there are utensils for every occasion.

The Mistletoe Lodge Second stay at this wonderful lodge - voting with our feet and paws by coming back! The living area and kitchen are open plan, modern and aesthetically pleasing making a great home from home holiday. The lodge Has three lovely bedrooms that have been redecorated since our last visit and it’s still stunning throughout. Got a real alpine vibe with beautiful textures - wood, leather and chrome in every room making very smart style statements. There’s also a roll top bath, which is unusual in a lodge as well as a shower in a relatively large bathroom The kitchen is well stocked with utensils so even during our Covid Semi lockdown visit we were able to cook anything we needed in the lodge. The lodge has wide decking around the front and entrance with seating all around and of course the cherry on the cake - hot tub which is not overlooked. The lodge itself set at the rear of Whitcross Bay Holiday park and surrounded by large trees and shrubs making it feel quite secluded. We were able to watch birds by day and bats at night fully enjoying the nature in the surroundings. The Park The park is well kept and there are leisure facilities onsite, although we did not use them. The shore of Windermere is a short stroll from the lodge and you should try to ensure you go to see it. The park is well located and although we drove there we didn’t use the car afterwards and utilised the well connected public transport with very regular Buses going to all locations around Windermere. Strict social distancing and masks were in place and felt safe in the circumstances. I would recommend the open top buses for excellent views across the lakes.
